Celebrate Vermont tradition and join in the festivities as sugarmakers show off their craft throughout the state! Bourdon Maple Farm will be boiling both weekends and offering free tours and tastings from 10 - 5pm. Come learn how maple syrup is made - from the forest to the sugarhouse - and get a taste of Vermont life. This is our favorite event of the entire year, and we have so many fun activities for you to enjoy.
Activities
Sugarhouse tours & Boiling demonstrations
Immerse yourself in a true Vermont experience in the steam of the sugarhouse and learn all about the tradition of making maple syrup. Visitors can take a tour of the sugarhouse and watch pure Vermont maple syrup being made by our seasoned sugarmakers.
Maple Tastings, waffles & Ice cream
Enjoy a tasting all four grades of organic maple syrup and try our famous buttermilk waffles with maple syrup fresh off the evaporator. We'll be scooping local maple ice cream topped with crunchy maple sprinkles (great on its own or on your waffles).
outdoor adventures
Gather around a cozy outdoor campfire with friends and family, or if you're feeling adventurous, grab a map at the sugarhouse and explore our Maple Trail on a self-guided hike up through the forest. Trails will be marked with different routes so you can choose your own adventure. Along the way, keep an eye out for hidden tokens to win prizes! You're welcome to bring your own snowshoes or rent a pair from a local outdoor rental shop.
Games, prizes & giveaways
There will be giveaways and fun prizes from some of our favorite local businesses. Try your hand at Maple Bingo - for kids and kids at heart - to win a sweet prize, enter to win an artisan maple gift set, and scout around the sugarhouse and along the Maple Trail to find wooden tokens to redeem for prizes. There's fun for everyone.
