ingredients
2 oz bourbon
1 bar spoon maple syrup (Grade A Dark Robust; add more for a sweeter cocktail)
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Orange peel (for garnish)
Maraschino cherry (for garnish)

In a rocks glass, mix bourbon, maple syrup, and bitters.
​
Add a large ice cube.
​
Squeeze orange peel to release oils into cocktail and run the peel around the rim of the glass.
Garnish with the orange peel and a Luxardo cherry if desired.
​
Sip and savor.
